Great prices with surprisingly great produce. They cater slightly more towards bulk shopping and the food service industry (restaurant pitchers, salad dressing cups). While still having everything else you need.

Just finished up a routine shop at the 'new' Smart & Final. They were recently bought by the Mexican corporation Bodega Latina. All of the existing staff was replaced and the prices, just on our items, increased anywhere from 30% - 100%. Definitely not Smart and quite possibly our Final visit. Sad.
