Great service and the staff are excellent. Beats going to San Francisco.

Have used this place for renewing a passport, and for properly notarizing communications to a German court in a legal matter. Both were done efficiently, and having this place so conveniently located (having moved from Market Street downtown to Beaverton helps too) absolutely beats having to go to San Francisco, especially during the COVID pandemic. Be aware of holiday closures, both US and German holidays are observed.

Christine is the best! She returned my phone calls promptly and she was was extremely helpful in guiding me through the process of applying for my new passport. On top of that she made sure I was happy with picture she took for it. What more can you ask for? Thank you Christine :)

Questions & Answers

Visiting parents/family for this summer - can I stay with family members - what are the implications for them if quarantined? Can I isolate in a room in their home? Will they let me take public transportation to get there? Or stay in a hotel?

I need to know which form to complete for the Einreisegenehmigung. Can’t find it on the internet.

Flights have re-started between the US and Germany - What kind of delays or testing or quarantine should be expected in Frankfurt? Is is better not to book flight or train connections for the day you get in? If Quarantined -what does that look like?

Do I need a visa to travel to Germany with a American passpor?

Not from the US if your stay is 90 days or less. But while travel restrictions in place, you'll need an immediate family member there or an exception to stay at all.

I was born and lived in germany, but now I have an American Passport and would like to have my German Passport back
