There are not enough words in the English language to say thank you to Patrick, at WESTWIND KENNELS on Craig road. I had 4 dogs at home, and last Monday landed in the ER requiring emergency surgery. It was after hours and he returned my daughters calls - and she is in Iowa- had a friend grab the dogs and Patrick took over, saying do not worry, I got this. They have been in his care for 7 days now. They ran out of their normal food and Patrick even went to north 40 to buy their food. He is absolutely amazing. If you need dog or cat care, this is THE PLACE .

My dog visited West Wind for the first time yesterday. We've always used a chain groomer before for convenience, but decided to try this company that's close to home. I will NOT be returning to the chain groomer. This is Bean's new groomer. They were very sweet and patient, but I kinda expect that from dog groomers. You don't go into that business if you don't like animals. Wonderful people, but what impressed me was the difference in skill. She was matted pretty badly from a winter of wearing a shirt and they untangled her shame, leaving her fur as soft and sweet as when she was a newborn pup. It's been almost 24 hours since she was there and she still smells wonderfully. I've owned cavies for about 15 years now and I can honestly say I've never had one smell nice the day after a bath, but she spent hours playing with us outside yesterday and still smells beautifully. I've never been so satisfied with a dog grooming in all my life. Thank you, West Wind Kennels. You'll be seeing us again.

Wow... I'll start with the obvious - the location is out of the way a bit for most. That's the end of the knocks, though. The price is untouchable from the daily rate to individual walks to grooming; the design is really neat and far more roomy than most kennels; and the service top notch (they even launder the bedding!). Highly recommended!
