The food here is yummy. Everything I’ve tried has been great. Crazy variety of unique sandwiches, wraps, salads and sweet and savory crepes. It is a small establishment with limited seating for a Very popular place. It is popular because it is very good. I just bought a home in the area and will be a regular here. Parties of 2 can get in pretty much right away. Groups of 3-4 may have a wait. Parties of 5+ need a reservation. When you check in be sure to let them know if you are willing to eat outside on the back patio it may shorten your wait. Our party of 3 waited 70 min last time because we wanted indoors. At 30 min they offered back patio but we wanted inside. They said if they had known they might have been able to seat some parties ahead of us outside. Previously we had no or short waits.

Good food, great service. Really unique place to eat. Loved all the names of the menu items and looking around and the interesting decor. I ordered the last tango crepes with ice cream, which were delicious!

Later Alligator was AWESOME. We went there to try the crepes but left with so much more. The spot has a unique look and history you can read about on the menu and throughout the restaurant. The crepes were AMAZING and the cocktails were as well. Lots of fun crepe combinations and unique cocktails to try for an adventurous eater. The Cajun coleslaw was some of the best coleslaw I’ve ever had. Please make a Cajun fried chicken and coleslaw crepe 🤤 Great atmosphere, Great Service, Great Food - only “neutral” observation is it was busy even at 11:30am which is great for their business! Just make sure you know they are popular and might hit a wait time or have trouble getting large groups in.

I've spent years traveling through and to random spots in West Virginia. Later Alligator is a multi-faceted gem: good food, a history lesson, a personal culinary story, fresh ingredients on a thoughtful menu (not everyone can eat a hearty roast beef sandwich) and it's easy to get to from the highway. The See Sam Run crepe was delicious. Made with Alaskan Salmon, as described on the menu, it hits all the markers for a good crepe. The amount of salmon was generous. The bechemel was buttery, but not too thick or oily. The sprinkle of scallions complimented a hint of dill somewhere in the mix. I appreciated the proper tea service (my own ceramic pot & mug, perfect water temperature and a broad selection by Republic of Tea). I will remember Later Alligator and hope to return.

Pretty safe. Plenty of room. Tabled closed between people. Mandatory mask wear.

Yes but tables seem close together. You probably would want to call ahead to let them know you needed a table that you could get to with the wheelchair.
Fabulous restaurant and wonderful, friendly service. You will return often. Very reasonably priced.
