Went with a family member to the E.R. this afternoon and was completely dismayed at the unprofessionalism of the female doctor on duty. I've been an RN for just over 40 years and have never witnessed a doctor speak so condescending and disrespectful to a patient before. I had previously been warned by others that this hospital lacked skilled staff, so attending with my family member who was quite ill, was an opportunity for me to see for myself. I wish I can offer up the name of the doctor I am referring to, but she failed to even introduce herself when she entered the exam room. The hospital can check their MD on duty for May 21, 2020 at 4:30 pm. to see who it was. We recently moved to Bandon from the Bay Area and always received top notch care from our providers there. I am so disappointed that this is the only option for emergency care this town has to offer. Please provide training to your doctors, especially this particular one, about how to speak to patients who come into the emergency room already distraught from pain and discomfort that required them to seek emergency care. One final comment....I see you respond to everyone who has given your hospital a 5 star review. It does speak volumes that you provide zero feedback to those who had an undesirable experience. They should be the ones you respond to first and foremost!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. They discriminate, make assumptions based on stereotypes, and DO NOT give proper treatment. Its almost impossible to believe that these immature unprofessional people went through med school and nursing school. If you have an emergency, ITS WORTH THE 30 MINUTE DRIVE TO COOS BAY HOSPITAL, DO NOT GO HERE. They lack proper treatment and are completely biased in the little treatment they actually give. This place should be shut down.
