Dinner was excellent including dessert. Service good. Very dated atmosphere complete with fake brick wall. Dinner ran very late and room was warm and stuffy. Would not be my first choice for a special occasion.

I never post negative reviews. But the dinner here was so bad, that I feel it was borderline theft and I can’t in good conscience let others make the mistake of dining here, without at least informing them. I began the night by asking for a drink menu. They don’t have one… that seems a little odd, but no worries, I ordered a Manhattan. While there certainly was bourbon in this drink, it was not at all a Manhattan. It was a shot of bourbon with ice and a copious amount of water. No vermouth or bitters could be tasted; just tap water with a hint of booze. I asked the waitress if she indeed put in a drink order for a Manhattan and she verified that she did. Ok then. Next came the oysters Rockefeller. Once the tray was set upon the table, I felt like I was inside of the dumpster behind a fish market on a boiling hot day. Gross. We received oysters that I cannot imagine were even remotely fresh, with a blob of microwaved spinach on top. 🤷🏼. For the entree, and at $38, I received a piece of mahi mahi that was, without a doubt in my mind, a piece of frozen fish from the deep freezer at Sam’s Club, brought to room temp and thrown in the microwave. It was absolutely flavorless, completely dry and tough. Honestly, if I was brought a packet of starkist tuna and a plastic fork, I probably wouldn’t be writing this review. The accompanying vegetable medley appeared to be from a bag, and I did not even attempt a taste. The waitress was nice and the food came out very quickly… perhaps that’s a clue… hint hint, microwaved. I honestly cannot express my disappointment in this “restaurant.” The food quality was so terrible, that I honestly can’t describe this experience as anything other than being theft. Caveat Emptor

We showed up early (around 4 pm) to empty parking lot but we had to Valet (LOL). The lone valet was very nice -- an older guy wearing casual Penn St. sweatsuit. We had a seat by the window, which is kind of cool in the winter b/c you have a view of the Ohio River from there. They have a nice fireplace with early 20th century influence/paintings throughout the room. We both had the light fare (19.95) menu options with include app, soup, salad, entree and dessert. Food was decent -- just fine for the value. Our waitress provided outstanding service and didn't waste any time bringing food out. Would like to try additional menu items some time.

absolutely delicious! 10/10 would recommend to anyone! (*seating is very limited so make a reservation in advance*) make sure to not miss the turn into restaurant it's very easy to miss. our waitstaff was wonderful. was told everything is made in house and fresh every morning. the atmosphere is intimate and small with retro photos hung up, the house is from the 1700s and the restaurant has been open 24 years. a train goes by about every 10 minutes adding to the atmosphere plus they also have outdoor seating (*currently not available due to staff shortages*) Pricing is (in my opinion) pretty fair for the type of food they serve and because it's made fresh. food came out relatively quickly for the amount mmy only complaint is that we wanted to sit outdoors and couldn't but that can't be helped.
