I lived in coos bay for 3.5 years, and in Coast Guard housing in Charleston for the last year I lived there. Rob went out of his way to make sure I always had all the fishing gear I needed for a more than fair price, he always told me the places to go to take my wife to catch fish, and is an honorable, respectful, loyal, friendly, courteous, and kind family man. There’s no place else I’d rather spend my money than at Basin Tackle. As a military man it warms my soul to find someone like Rob who is as passionately patriotic and supportive of those serving our country, community, and society. Rob and Basin Tackle have had a life long positive impact on me and my family. God bless you Rob & Basin Tackle!!

What can I say about the coolest tackle shop ever!! The owners are very community minded and also have a great sense of humor! They have LOTS of supplies at great prices! Do yourself a favor and go in and look around! You will thank me later!

This little mom and pop shop is great! They have everything you’re looking for, even the obnoxious request of random weighted jig heads that no one else seems to be able to find. They are super friendly and very informative on all the local fishing, crabbing and clamming that’s going on locally. Even with their popularity and semi celebrity status in town, they still fish the jetty with us lowly commoners πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Highly recommended if you are ever in the area!!
