Wow! This by far the best KOA that we have had the pleasure of staying at. Nested in the pines away from the heat, very quiet and camps are well positioned apart From very clean facilities to friendly staff to a host of activities such as a super K9 play area, BMX track, basketball, pool, a HUGE tree swing and even a birding area. Most highly recommend this place!

Awesome KOA with great, friendly staff. Nicely situated right off of highway 44 going into Lassen National Park. Easy drive to town and an easy drive to the National Park. Burney falls is only an hour north and well worth the drive. Lots of nice, drive-thru RV parking, with lots of room to spare. The tent camping can vary based on site but are relatively private and roomy. The cabins are nice from the outside, but I didn't get the opportunity to go inside. Lots of events all summer hosted by the camp staff and lots of things to do around the camp. The playground, while not huge, this big enough and they have horseshoes, frisbee golf, and bean bags. A dog park is convenient and the bathrooms are always clean. Pricing is about what I would expect, not very cheap but not very expensive. If you're a KOA member the discount is nice and they have lots of promos to get discounts as well. Definitely somewhere I will be going back to as it's just far enough from my house for the kids to not get antsy in the drive, yet far enough from the house to be closer to some of the bigger attractions in Northern California.

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and the facilities are cleaned daily. There are tons of activities for the kids to to do as well as a dog park for the pups. My family and I enjoyed the walking trail with the tree swings the best. When viewing the map online I thought the camp would be bigger but it was slightly smaller than I imagined, although still a decent size. They also offer a military discount which is a huge plus! If you’re looking for a well maintained and quiet place to get away to then look no further, we will definitely be returning in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. The campground has so many amenities, and is very family friendly. The grounds are immaculate and show a great deal of pride of ownership. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The WIFI was surprisingly good considering it is nestled in the tall pines. We will definitely be back.

Some spaces have more than enough room for multiple vehicles, but I would call and ask to confirm they allow it. They are very helpful and informative and I’m sure they would work with you and your friend.
Not right next to the campground, but abiut fiur miles away is Lake McCumber. Before you get to the campground, in Shingletown, are two small lakes Grace and Nora, which are good for fishing (trout). And up in Lassen Park there are lakes (Manzanita Lake, for example).
Mt lassen koa is closed for the winter I believe but might want to call and see
