Had a tire start to lose tread on interstate 84 just west of Hood River. Called Les Schwabs and the came out and took care of putting the spare on my trailer since my truck jack could not handle the 13000lbs load. They had replacement tires with exact fitment so I tossed the 8 ply and had them put on 10s. Thanks team Hood River for the Excellent service.

I think Hood River Store is the most friendly, positive attitudes, on top of the tasks at hand to get you on your way as soon as possible. I love the people and place. I do not mind hanging out there.🙂🙂🙂

I’m not one to ever write a review but I feel it is necessary here. Firstly, I went in to get a simple tire rotation under warranty. I was told that the key to my factory locking lug nut could not be located, and that they had looked everywhere. I thought this was odd since the key is always in the factory specified location (in the trunk under the right side panel where the jack, etc…, is located), and they’ve never had any issue locating the key at this or any other Les Schwab in the past. However, I took the technician’s word for him and another technician having looked “everywhere”, and was told the locking nuts needed to be broken to proceed with the rotation, at a cost of course. I agreed since I was led to believe the key to be lost. A should have been free tire rotation turned into $56+. I would have no problem with paying anything had I not found the “missing” key right in its specified factory location directly after the appointment. Overall, a very poor experience as I feel incompetence led me into paying $56 and having my wheel’s locking nuts broken off. The key could not have been that difficult to locate, and this is why I feel as though I was mislead, which is extremely frustrating. I would not recommend getting serviced at this location for the reasons explained above. Now, I wish I had never gone in to get my tires rotated in the first place. As you can tell, I’m extremely disappointed, which is unfortunate because I’ve had good experiences at this Les Schwab in the past. Unless I receive some form of reparations/customer support for the losses I experienced this review stands.

So I've used Les Schwab quite a few times. The service is often very good. However at this location it seems the person that did the service on my vehicle wound up being new and did not put the spare tire back up under the vehicle I want up doing it myself. I found out a day later that it's actually something they're expected to do by Les Schwab. What would also have been nice is if they'd offered me the option of keeping my old tires. I bought a new set of four and the previous set, at least three of them, were still in good shape and could be reused. Hopefully in the future that one employee will do better.
