If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. First, we called before arriving to find out when the pool and spa would be closing and found out that both were closed due to the roof caving in over the pool. I asked for a refund of my money since my two kids wanted to go swimming so we could book another hotel. The front desk and management for the hotel would not refund our money without incurring at minimum a 1-night penalty if we cancelled and changed hotels. We spoke to Best Western customer service and they explained they couldn't help us out at all. Very frustrating since this is a Best Western chain. I know this isn't a huge deal, but we booked this hotel specifically because they had a pool and spa and without those available we didn't want to stay, but we have to pay the fee because the hotel promised a service that upon arrival we find out is unavailable and will indefinitely be closed. They need to take it off of their website because in my opinion it is false advertising. So we decide to stay at the hotel and that's when the real problems started. Kourtney at the front desk is rude to us when we check in asking us for an ID. I hand her my active military ID and she replies "No, I need a real ID." I don't know about others, but that to me was offensive because a military ID is a federal identification card and is a valid form of ID. Then they make me wait to ensure they can get the money transferred over from the third party website that I used to book the room. I explain to them that I have fully paid Hotels.com and that the issue with the hotel and the third party is not my problem and I shouldn't be required to wait for them to receive payment from the third party vendor. Once we finally check in, we get to our room and it smells horrible. We aren't sure what the problem is, but we decide since we are super tired from driving all day just to deal with it for now. We figured out that we were put in a pet room even though we don't have pets and that the floor not just in one spot but several spots smell like animal urine. I explain that to the front desk and they don't offer to move us, refund us. or discount or room but tell me that they have a new head of house keeping and therefore that is not their fault or that the smell was reasonable. I didn't ask for anything just told them the problem but again explain to them that having a new head of house keeping is not my problem. If their rooms are not cleaned well, they should make amends for the inadequacies, but give me excuses every time there is a problem with the hotel which seems to be a running theme. They like to throw out excuses and think that is acceptable way to handle problems vs fixing them. The management at this hotel is lazy and incompetent and their front desk staff seems to follow suit. As well, some of their housekeeping staff seem really sick which is odd since we had to sign a compliance contract when we checked in to follow COVID-19 distancing and isolation procedures but they have staff that is cleaning rooms visibly sick. Now I don't know if this is a personal problem or the hotel management forcing employees to work sick because its none of my business but I personally don't feel comfortable staying in a hotel with sick staff and roofs caving in, yet when I ask for a refund so I can go somewhere else they refuse to give me a reasonable refund and so I feel stuck having to choose between losing money and finding another hotel further away from where I need to be or staying and dealing with the subpar conditions. This could be a really nice hotel, but I feel like it is being ran poorly. The one saving grace is the woman who is running the breakfast bar. She is super nice and tries very hard to make sure our breakfast experience is great. We enjoyed her and her smile while she tried very hard to make everyone happy in the morning.

Rooms were very spacious, for a Dad and three girls it was great. Got a Bowling alley next door and plenty of street food carts aswell so Something to do while you stay. Nice breakfast and good coffee. Freindly staff was very helpful. Also away from portland crime. Definitley would consider this place to stay for your family.

Just stayed for ten days due to a death in the family. Its a comfortable enough room. Our room had a king sized bed and a sofa. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. At checkin I selcted the minimal service which included new towels and trash removal. Our room got serviced the day after we arrived and the day before we left (trash was finally removed but they didnt leave new wash cloths or towels). Twice we had notes under our doors saying they didnt have time to get to our room that day. They said they were having staffing issues, which may be true, but our last five days there we asked for our own towels daily and asked the garbage to be removed, it was not done until late two days before we left when manager finally came and took the trash. I dont mind helping out but to pay that much for a room each night and only get service twice, feels a bit odd. Pool was also closwd due to roof issues but that didnt bother me, however might others.

As mentioned, yes they are allowed. For a small, extra fee, pets are welcome. I do encourage you to be mindful and pick up after your dog out on their grass. We liked it and so did our American Bulldog.
