Called and left a message asking about the possibility of selling off antiques. The owner called back and said my message was "aggressive" and "inappropriate", and before I had a chance to ask her what on Earth she was talking about, she hung up. So... that happened. Not quite sure who's in charge over at La Maison, or how you make the leap from my question of "Do you buy old china?" to "my God how aggressive!". I would recommend people steer clear of this place and just talk to another antique shop. That was the weirdest, shortest phone call I have ever been a part of, and I have no idea what she was on about. EDIT: Responding to the owner's comment, since she decided to play damage control by essentially lying. I'm not sure how a 15 second message basically asking "Does your company purchase old chinaware?" went through as aggressive. She even quotes me more or less directly. "I hope someone will call me back regarding this." I said that because, funny thing.... I do hope someone will call me back regarding this. There was nothing "kindly" or "polite" about her response. Her tone carried all the arrogance one might expect of someone describing her own store with at least seven different placements of the word "inspirational" on her website. She came right out of the gates calling me rude, saying my tone made it sound like I owed them money, and that they refuse to do business with me. I left a pretty standard message to La Maison among another dozen shops, and while the other shops basically said "We can't really move chinaware, but thank you for calling", La Maison's reaction was.... unique. For the record, I found a perfectly pleasant (and objectively more level-headed) antiquer to sell all the chinaware. Amazingly, they didn't feel threatened at all with my converstaion. I guess I used up all my aggression on La Maison. If you want a truly unique experience with a wackadoo owner, give La Maison a call! Just don't leave any phone messages!

I’ve been to many antique/consignment stores from coast to coast. You might say it’s pretty much a personal passion. This shop is definitely on the top five of my list. The prices are reasonable, the inventory varied, high turnover, and all in all a pleasant shopping experience. I need to mention that the owner, Char, is absolutely fabulous! She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. So far I’ve purchased about 10 things from La Maison and am very happy with everything that I’ve brought home.

Great store! I always go into La Maison when I am in the area. The furniture is of good quality and always changing. Accessories are great and well priced. Love the pillow selection and have numerous pillows around my home that have been purchased there. I enjoy going into store, seeing the new inventory and figuring out what I can’t live without. Char has always been very helpful with ideas as to what will work. I have had Jenny text me pictures of items I didn’t get photos of. All in all a very good experience!

We got a very good buy on a great Ethan Allen dining set. The store is large and beautifully laid out. They work with an excellent independent delivery service (Andrew Beer) who provided great service at a very reasonable price. The store's young owner has done a fantastic job. She only takes the best of the best. The pricing is quite fair and the values are very good. I was totally impressed how an independent dealer like this can create a shopping experience far nicer than any large national chain. This is a great way to shop for top brands at a reasonable price. Though (like a typical guy), I was pretty focused on what we were there to buy, I'm tempted to go back just to look around once more (but don't tell my wife).
