Took my daughter here for a potentially broken foot/toe last night. Horrible care from the front desk "nurse". They did xrays, told us we would be put in a room and see a dr. That never happened. We sat in the waiting room for over 4 hours with sick, screaming babies that needed emergency care. Absolutely despicable. When I asked if I could eat something since I'm diabetic, I was told no food or drinks in the ER waiting area and "everything is closed." I was given saltine crackers. So when I told the nurse my blood sugar was dropping, she said "you can leave." I said, all we want to know is if her foot is broken or not. We were then told we could just get the results later. My daughter received a phone call today about the bill. That was it. They're lucky I don't hire an attorney. I could have passed out or worse. Diabetes is not something to take lightly. I thought nurses would know that. Also, she told us they only "ever have ONE dr on staff at all times". What?!? Is that legal? Horrible place. Go to Bangor or MDI.

Wouldn't necessarily give 1 star after the inattentive care or lack there of, today at a visit to the ER. My husband was sent over for an MRI but had to be seen and admitted through their Emergency Department. The referring physician spoke with the ER doctor and said to send him over. Brought order from his doctor and checked in. 5 hours later we are still sitting in the waiting room. His symptoms have been present for 5 weeks, numbness and pain in right arm which could possibly be a bulging disc or so. Anyway, we asked why he still hasn't been seen. Woman at check in spoke badly about the lack of communication between staff. Won't come back here. They didn't seem concerned at all.

My husband went to emergency room today with big white patches on his tonsils. He sat in the waiting room for 5 hrs without seeing anybody. Needless to say he left without being seen. Shouldn't have but did and I prob would have also. It is absolutely ridiculous! Should have more than 1 or even 2 doctors on duty at a time. its totally FRUSTRATING and disgusting to have to wait like that when you are already feeling miserable!

I am grateful we have a hospital in our community. The care I have received inside the hospital has been with professional caring staff. I gave this a three star because of the handicap access. THERE IS NONE. I recently had a leg injury which required a brace and crutches. I had to park across the street and walk up a hill or choose stair to access the front door. There is handi cap parking on the side of the building but one has to walk around the building to access the front door.. this is appalling. Before Covid there used to be Valet parking but that no longer exists. I mentioned it at the reception desk and the response was “yes we hear that often” On another note, orthopedic services have been moved to the very end of a hallway so far removed from access doors. There was no one available to wheel me down. I was hurting and exhausted by the time I arrived at their front desk. Whoever designed this facility clearly overlooked people who were handicapped, people who were temporarily incapacitated due to surgery or follow up. Totally unforgivable
