Unlike another business we contacted Rob was upfront and precise about cost, time needed to rebuild the computer, and additional hardware , besides the parts we had provided already. I brought the computer I built that wasn't booting late on a Saturday. The employee told me he would diagnose the problem sometime next week. After a week passed, I left a message asking about the status. Having not heard anything the following morning and being in the area, I stopped in. The same employee told me he had received my call and would look it over by tomorrow. When I stopped in the next day, they still had not looked at. The following day they contacted me saying that the motherboard wasn't any good. After replacing the motherboard, the computer still wouldn't boot, so I brought it to a different computer repair store. They showed me that the CPU was defective. While it's possible that the original motherboard was faulty, not catching the faulty CPU leaves me with the impression they did not do a thorough job diagnosing the problem. The competitor also cost half as much to diagnosis it and looked at it the day after I dropped it off.
