There is a decent collection of contemporary art exhibits. Good location at seaport. Simple walk around the gallery. Free entrance on Thursday evenings for the main gallery. Good seating view of the harbour area. Worth a trip although not a must go for non contemporary art fans.

A must visit if you are an Art lover and loves gallery. ICA is perfectly places near the harbor with spectacular views and overlooking water views. Perfect for weekend holidays.

The museum was okay, the architecture was great, but the staff was amazing which is why I gave 5 stars. My friends and I went on Thursday after 5 to get in free and we didn't purchase the online tickets ahead of time. As we are from texas we didnt know to purchase the tickets. However, they were sold out but the staff was very kind and allowed us in. Thank you!

Beautiful museum. Unique architecture. Always a good ticket show. Saw the infinity wall. Completely mirrored room with pastel black spotted tentacles. Dope. Also the study room has a wall that is not level that is also glass and all you can see is the ocean Trippy. Like it makes you almost trip because you are. Disoriented. Cool.

Yes according to the website
Hahahahaha it actually is free for us. We have an institutional membership. Comes out of our tuition fees. Take care, I wish you well.
Id suggest taking the mbta or commuter rail to south station and then either walking from there, taking the Silver Line Bus #1 or #2 closeby and walking a couple minutes, or taking a quick 3-5 minute uber/lyft ride. As others mentioned, parking is very expensive.
There's metered street parking nearby as well as an hourly public garage
Yes, but it's closed for reconstruction. The rest of the museum is open.
Thursday nights 5-9 pm
I believe so, i haven't heard different
There's a lot across the street from the museum. Look on their website for the parking info. It was $17.
Yes. Try the little electric water taxi... but not on a windy or choppy day... it would be like riding a bucking bronco!
Based on times and their website, yes, but I would call to confirm.
Ralph Steadman was known for Gonzo art. Shepard Fairey is the street artist, known for Obey, who was arrested before arriving at the ICA.
