Great independent Bookshop! Very wide selection. Several different rooms. Make sure you look at the whole shop as they had some wonderful recommendations and some interesting reading supplies.

Visited the book store because I want to support local and independent book shops. I went in this past weekend asking if they had plans to highlight Indigenous writers before Indigenous Peoples Day, the tone-deaf owner had an argument with me about how Braiding Sweetgrass was not Indigenous thought and philosophy but rather he considered it a "plant book". Yikes. Needless to say they will not be highlighting Indigenous writings this year before the holiday. If you want more copies of Little Women etc. great.

I lived in Concord for a while and I went to the bookshop as often as I could. It's such a wonderful place with a good choice of books. You can wander around without feeling rushed. It's a beautiful little bookshop to visit and buy great books. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I really liked going there.

Concord's a town with a rich literary history, and the town's independent bookstore is a delightful trove of local history, popular fiction and non-fiction, and a moveable feast of cards, ouzzles, posters and stationary. The staff are all well informed and happy to share their knowledge in a low key way. And if what you want isn't on the shelves? They're happy to help you build the pleasure of anticipation by special ordering it.

Thanks for asking, Barbara. At this time, we use our 'old fashioned' paper gift certificates, not online gift codes. We do a work-around with customers placing orders via our web site.
Employees administer self-health assessment before shift. In-store capacity limits, high-touch surfaces disinfected throughout the day. Some furniture and fixtures have been removed or relocated to allow greater distancing; plexi-barriers at register stations, where hand sanitizer is available. Masked are mandated for staff and customers. Air filtration units are in place; doors open as weather allows.
Hi Barbara - we don't sell newspapers (Main Street Markets has the Globe and NYT I believe).
Yes, thanks for asking, Judy. We'll have LEADERSHIP available when it publishes on Sept. 18. She's very generous with her time and will sign/inscribe books for our customers, and we'll ship it out to you. You can phone the store, or order via our website (right sidebar has a link to 'pre-order signed editions of Leadership').
Hi Susan - we have the Walls and Montgomery, and can hold them for you until Monday. We're here today until 6pm, Saturday 9:30 - 5, and Sunday noon - 5.
I would call or check the website
I suggest calling them directly. The questions here come to the person who visited and rated the store- I don't work there .. But they are awesome, and will be happy to help.
