This is a well built and maintained facility. It was educational and fun to see so many different kinds of birds! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable! We were able to see many birds up close and ask questions. Very cool and very affordable. Great family activity!

One of my favorite places in Florida to visit. If you are in the Orlando area and have any interest in raptors, or birds/wildlife in general, then they are a must see. The staff is very informative and extremely nice. All the photos I posted with the review were taken by me at the center it self over the many years I've been visiting.

I was so impressed with this raptor rehab center. The goal is to rehab and releases these beautiful creatures back to their natural habitat. It is easy to see that everyone there has the utmost respect and concern for each and every bird. All of the enclosures were clean,in good shape, and large enough to accommodate even the largest wing span. The center has a clinic, which you are able to view through a large window. There are signs identifying and describing each bird,as well as the native plants growing at the center. Everything is first rate. My thanks to the employees and volunteers so dedicated to the care of each patient.

I have been wanting to go here for the longest time. When we arrived it we met Sanford the owl. Just the cuttest little owl I have ever laid my eyes on. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable, asking if we had any questions. We did the self guided tour by scanning the QR code provided. All the animals were having g just as a relaxing time as we did. I loved the scenery and how how lush and green it was everywhere. It was not crowded at all so we took our time exploring and observing all the beautiful birds. Will definitely be back. I give it 10/10 happy owls. Hope to visit again soon, HIGHLY recommended!!!

I think they will try to help or get you phone numbers of who to call so try getting in touch with them
Take the eggs to the Birds of Prey center!
I dont work at the center, just visited, but that does not seem to be something they offer. The center is a rehabilitation and care facility with great educational opportunities about the birds, but not how to work with them yourself. They do have a neat behind the scenes movie which provided some of tips they use to feed and handle injured birds.
It's best to just leave it, let it continue what it's doing. Ibis are monogamous for the breeding season, but eventually this bird will find another mate to replace the deceased one, and move on.
You can use our online Adopt a Raptor form - https://act.audubon.org/onlineactions/Z0SYcStYREOtEdxSqq-Kbg2
If you call the Center during business hours I am sure they can tell you. You would just need the intake number for Bailey or the date of intake I believe
We don't yet know, hopefully this month. You can check the website cbop.audubon.org or the Center's Facebook page for more details when opening is scheduled.
yes that is completely normal not all sandhill cranes find a mate
No
Josue, unfortunately we do not allow guest to hold the birds that live at our Center. Our staff and volunteers that handle them have gone through extensive training and have formed relationships with the individual birds. That being said, we are sometimes available to bring a bird out for you to see up close and have a photo with.
Well this is a troubling question
Adults (13+): $8 Children (3-12): $5 Seniors: $7 Audubon members: $7 Under 3: Free
No only staff is allowed to handle it them
I am not sure of the answer to that question. If you contact the Audubon Society or Audubon Center in Maitland, I'm sure they'd be able to answer your question.
Not unless you're a volunteer or work there.
$8 well worth it.... I'd plan on bringing a little more to help with the care of these beautiful creatures
I'd call the center directly or google vets with exotic bird experience.
According to the website its $8/adults, $5/children, 3 and under are free.
Pretty small, just a couple of loops ana dock out to the lake. The interaction is amazing and I advise you to check it out.
Humm... there a quiet a few owls but I did not learn their names.
Normal admission is $8 - see more info here: http://fl.audubon.org/chapters-centers/plan-your-visit
Vilma Alvarez is correct regarding your question. Remember the place is small but you are helping the center with all the services it furnishes our community. Have fun. The Eagle's are my favorite.
Yes! Bailey is now on display with the other permanent Osprey, smedley. She can be seen during normal business hours
I am sure you need to call or ask in person for this... I really do not know.
Sorry, I was away, they are a birds of prey center, hawks, eagles and stuff, not common birds. I know there was a lady in Alt. Springs that dealt with common wildlife, I think it's called The Haven, I will see if I can find it.
