I had an amazing first time experience! I'm totally new to being around horses and Kat made me feel really comfortable. I learned a lot more than just basic riding - we covered horse anatomy and basic health care/grooming and I got to meet all the horses in the stables. I got to ride Bass and he was such a big, goofy boy - I felt really comfortable on him! Really happy I found you guys, I can't wait for my next lesson :)

I have been taking lessons at Horsefleet Academy for two and a half years and leasing a horse there owned by Kat for about four months now, and every moment of it has been nothing short of fantastic. I have learned valuable skills when it comes to riding and also knowledge about horses I don’t think I could have learned anywhere else. Kat is patient, everything is at my own pace and I am never made to do anything I do not feel confident doing until I am ready. Kat is encouraging, caring, and goes out of her way to help students when we need it. My boyfriend will occasionally come out to ride on weekend mornings with me, and even though he doesn’t take lessons, Kat is more than willing to offer him advice to improve his riding. She cares about her students, and she cares about her horses. The horse I lease is incredibly safe, well trained, and kind. He has a specific personality, like all horses, that Kat recognizes and works to meet his specific needs. I have never once felt like I was unsafe with this horse, whether it was on the ground or while riding. I look forward to spending every second I can get with him and I appreciate the bond I have with this horse. Kat welcomed me to this barn with open arms two and a half years ago and choosing Horsefleet Academy to take lessons at is a decision I will never regret.

We took our daughter to HorseFleet Academy to learn to take care of a horse and ride properly. Kat Wiggins is an excellent Trainer and she really cares for both the horses and students. My daughter loved riding so much that we leased one of horses for a time until we were blessed to have our own thanks to Kat! Kat is an amazing riding instructor, who really teaches her students to actually RIDE. She is always the first person I recommend when asked about riding lessons. I have known Kat for years, and my best friend and I patiently waited 3 years for space to be available and finally be able to move our horses to Horsefleet, and we couldn't be happier. I have 3 decades of experience with all types of equine facilities, and there is no one in the area I would trust my horses with more! Over the years, she has always been there when we needed her for any reason. We love Kat!
