Nail tech has a runny nose and keeps on rubbing her nose while working on my nails. Also, she did not clean the under nail area. When the dip was already dried, i noticed there are some lint embedded on my nails. This is so frustrating.

*Will charge you for random things (like filing your nails) if you don't want the upgrade to gel polish* I went today for the first time for an acrylic fill in. On their website it says $22+. I also wanted them cut down, so I knew that would be a few bucks extra, no big deal. My nails are pretty short, so I assumed it would be about $25-27. I got in right away and sat down in a ripped up chair. The nail artist was nice enough, and said she was new. She seemed unhappy that I wanted regular polish and not gel, but I explained that I just need reg. on acrylics and I have gotten gel before when its my own nails. After she put the new acrylic on she told me it would be $34 total. I asked her if she could explain why it was so much more than the $22 listed on the website and she seemed flustered that I questioned her. She went and spoke with another employee who refused to come talk to me. She finally came back with a receipt printed out that said $24 - fill, $3- cut down, $8 - filing. I asked her why I was being charged $8 for my nails to be filed, which is a basic step in just about any nail service. I wasn't changing the shape, or anything. $8 just to file them.... After a slight language barrier she finally said that they were allowed to charge what they'd like, and technically she could have charged me double for the cut down and file since i didn't get the upgrade to gel polish so she was doing me a FAVOR. She also said the price was due to the length of my nails.... they're BARELY a cm from the ends of my fingers, I like mine super super short, so i can only imagine what they'd charge if they were longer. That would be like a hair stylist saying you needed to pay to have your hair brushed, since you didn't add on a deep conditioning treatment. After a little bit of back and forth i told her i didn't want to continue with the service and offered to pay for what she had done so far, but she refused. I def. won't be back, and don't recommend anyone who doesn't want gel polish to either, or you'll be paying an upcharge no matter what. It's not about the money, it's about the shady business practice.

I go here often to get acrylic nails and Ivy always does an amazing job! I’m constantly asking for new designs and complicated things but she always does exactly what I ask for. She’s very friendly and talented.

I’ve been going to Lavish for a very long time and they have always left me extremely satisfied. Especially with Ivy! Ivy is super talented and does amazing nail art, structure of the nail, and she’s always looking out by giving recommendations on how to achieve the best nail set. Not only that, but she is super kind and fun to talk to! If you are coming here for the first time, or looking into getting a new tech, go to Ivy!!
