Love this Credit Union - I moved a few months back, and wanted to open my accounts a bit closer to home, so after doing a bit of research chose GSNFCU. So happy with their service! Setting up the accounts was easy, great reminders and notifications and great staff to work with! I also have the opportunity to work with them as a trusted partner for business services. GSNFCU is doing all they can to maximize their knowledge and expertise to assist business members in growing their businesses in 2021. Great bunch of folks here who care about their members!

Not happy. The branch manager specifically herself told me what I had to do to cash a check. A check that is a refund from closing my accounts at my old bank. Like not someone with an account through another bank specifically from Wells Fargo bank themselves. I had deposited 3 of the 4 into my account. I held off on one in case I made it out of town to Wells Fargo to cash it being it was for $800. She said after the 14 day hold was up for the first 3 checks then the last one since it's from the same place I will just be able to cash it no problem. 14 days later the 3 checks cleared I go to cash the last one and I'm told no now they want to out a 9 day hold on it. I get it completely except that the branch manager told me different I would have deposited the check the day I did the others if she did not say that. If it wasn't true or there was other circumstances that could cause a delay or hold on this check she should have not said what she did to me. I feel lied to, this really is a dilema I have already waited 14 days for my money I have no choice but to got out of town now. She shouldn't of spoke with certainty if there was circumstances that could make it untrue. She should have knowledgeable of that fact being the manager. and not to mention her and the teller both made me feel really unvalued of a customer. Sad my family banks through them and i just would rather bank some where I am valued as a customer. And just talking to them how they sounded made me feel that I wasn't.
Three Toes
My rating is dropping unfortunately. I have banked with them for years and recently, it seems that nobody on the floor is trained very well. I needed an account set up by the end of the week. Friday, I was told I needed a certain original hard copy, through the mail because their policy had changed. The brochure she handed me did not state that detail. I later found a digital copy and called them asking if it would work. We decided I would email it to them to verify. She confirmed I would get a response in an hour if it was sufficient. I did not. Saturday, I called and explained the situation. After a very long hold, I was told that the document would work. I told her I would be in before closing to set that up. When I got there, I was told that they need at least an hour to set up the account. I was once again turned away. It seems the account could have been set up on Friday with a bit of better communication. Neither time did they have more than two customers other than myself with a full staff. Despite the enormous inconvenience, the girls were pleasant. And I have had a wonderful experience in the past. I am writing this for training purposes, in hopes that my experience will increase in the VERY near future. And that this is not an indication of the service I will continue to be receiving.
