We went on Thursday night for an early dinner with a party of six. We were met with prompt and friendly service and were seated in the main dining room. They have a great German beer selection and an extensive menu of great German dishes. We ordered the 2 pound pretzel with beer cheese and it was a delicious appetizer. The beer can be ordered by the liter if you dare. Many of the dinner portions can be made into two meals so be prepared to bring home a doggy bag. Our waiter, Jackson, was both friendly and helpful and was an excellent server. The whole dinner experience was great and I would recommend this restaurant for anyone that is looking for casual dining in a fun and inviting atmosphere with some great German offerings. The schnitzel doesn’t disappoint!

Fantastic menu and great service. A little slice of German cuisine in Virginia. Will visit again!

Very good food with great atmosphere and staff. Excellent beer too if I may add. We will definitely stop here again in the future!

Do not come here if you're looking for one of those rustic, hole-in-the-wall, homey German restaurants that you drove down a long, winding driveway to get to that one time you were in Germany. Nope. This place is all that deliciousness with a whole lot of sass added. The food is phenomenal, even if you get the more traditional dishes. Sides are served in the traditional family style, and the menu is ROBUST. The jaeger sauce was a more creamy variety than I'm accustomed to, but it was delicious all the same. All of the meat was cooked to a tender goodness that required no more than a fork to cut. This place is a showstopper!

Lk. Their open
I have seen outdoor space heaters. I am not sure how far they reach, but they had a few spread out on the patio when I was there Thanksgiving.
The restaurant will be open, though they are close to fully booked for seatings. Call them directly to see about availability. Also, they are offering a takeaway option for their Thanksgiving Day menu, which is on their website.
Yup. You can look at the menu online at alpinechefrestaurant.com. phone # is 540-656-2101. Enjoy!
Yes, they do offer that service!
The Alpine Chef is very comfortable working with dietary allergies/concerns. While the specialty diet menu, available upon request, does not focus on shellfish, or nut allergies... it does offer Soy free, keto, vegan, dairy free, and gluten free options. Virtually any other dietary needs can be met after a brief conversation with your server
