I enjoy banking at Bank of the West in Lakewood. The tellers and employees are very friendly and care about their customers.

I have been with B of W since their inception and have always received prompt, friendly, and accurate service. In all the years I have been with them, they have never made an error on our family trust accounts.

I was hoping to have branch manager assist me with a fee that seems rediculous to charge me for, but that wasn't possible for bank of the west company. This is sad as banks are trying to charge me at $35 fee for and $8 transaction. Turning my account negative! I will be thinking twice about continuing service with this company. Dispite the transaction being in a "contact" with me, I'm a employee who gets multiple direct deposits and I'm still getting charged more that I should be. I feel that I am a loyal customer who's account never goes negative who should be more respected and not charged so much because I use your services. I will be looking for a new bank very soon!!!

Questions & Answers

Why is this branch closed on the inside so much since covid? It was closed again at beginning of January 2022 in middle of day on weekday Is it employees ill or something else. Seems to happen a lot at this branch.

I was there for the first time last week, late afternoon. There was one teller and one personal banker. If that one teller was the only one in for the day, then obviously they would have to close for them to take their lunch break during the middle of the day. As I have never been there previously, I can't speak for their "normal" staffing levels, but if this is a small branch with few employees, then it would seem natural for them to have to close if only 2 people called in sick. If you have been paying attention to the news, you would know how much of a toll omicron is currently taking on the workforce. The WHO has given warnings that in some areas, they expect 50% of the population to be hit within the span of 6 weeks. Numbers show we are starting to come out of that now, but cases are still extremely high. Please have respect for the fact that employees don't go in to work when they are sick - if they had, maybe they would have gotten you sick, too!

why is the branch temporarily closed?
