All they have to do is have the owner call and tell them they want to put there house on section 8 I did it with my landlord and it was a fast process and I been on 19 years

I am try to find housing in San Bernadino County that excepts housing voucher.

Your name still needs to be picked from the list and from there you have to go through whats called a briefing process,once you get your voucher,then you would have to see if it meets the amount their giving you,if so then you can let them know you want to remain where your at with your voucher.

I have 2 kids and I am homeless. I applied for section 8 in mid 2019 and I just got a confirmation email from them that I was picked from the lottery!!! That’s wassup!!! 3 years for me with the wait

Yes you have to be put on the list in order to receive section 8 .. section 8 has to do an inspection before they accept the place you are trying to move to..Yes they do give vouchers to pay the rent if you are are accepted but you are required to pay 30% of your gross income and if you have no income there is a $125 minimum you have to pay

I applied in 2019 and I just got a confirmation email from section 8 saying that I was accepted.. so I would say at least 3 years if you are lucky enough especially being in California

Only if you are a residence of San Bernardino county that's the only way you can get a listing from them

It all depends because when you apply they put you in a thing call a lottery and every other year or so they pull apps from it and then if your application comes up u will then be ready for processing of section 8

In my opinion, I would ask to talk to a program director and explain to them that you are in a urgent need of housing. You understand their Is a waiting list but their has been open enrollment fifty times over and you were overlooked. You want what is best for your children and would appreciate any and all advice and urgent help

Must go up there ...that would be your best bet if you need to speak with someone. Just from my experience you'll be calling for nothing.
