Good size park, though oddly shaped. Nice, well kept baseball field. Toys for kids to play on. Sufficient greenspace

Torrance Park is dwarfed by its nearby cohort, Wilson Park. But if you want a bit more greenery, park benches, rustic atmosphere, and a chance to catch high school baseball (when in season), you found the right place. The park is old. It's been around for decades. There are meandering pathways that make for a nice lunchtime stroll. Not a lot of grass, but enough to enjoy a picnic and room to let your toddler explore. There's no reason to avoid this place. Once you get to know Torrance Park, you're probably going to be visiting it more. The City had some grand plans to refurbish this place, but the effort did not get funded. That's the sad part. The benefit has been that you can experience this piece of history for a while longer.

This was a beautiful, old-fashioned park where I remember we would go to have barbecue and walk through the gardens. Sadly, the grounds have not been maintained and the gardens are moribund. Perhaps one day it will return to its past glory.

Good park with kids play area, Base ball ground and basketball play area. Parking space available around park and dedicated parking slot also available. Observe some dried grass and uncleanliness in some portion. I liked big and green trees which makes this park noticeable.

I live a block away and many of my neighbors enjoy walking their dogs at Torrance Park. Its a very calm and quiet park.
You can't fight anywhere in public legally.
It doesn't have a track to run around. The other answers are confusing Wilson Park with Torrance Park. TP was built about 100 years ago, so it has a lot of little pathways. Some are made with stone and have random steps in the middle of the path for grade changes. You can get around the whole park but you'll have to run across the basketball court and down the driveway at the back. WP has a .91 mile cement track for running. There's also a true running track about a 5 minute walk from TP. Everyone can use it and it's easier in your joints than cement.
Yes you can throw a party at Torrance Park with a jumper
