These guys are an affront to every person’s civil liberties. Unlike Newport Beach, Irvine, and Laguna Beach PD (who are all fantastic!!), OC Sheriff’s deputies in San Clemente are no better than the people they’re employed to arrest. These guys show up in fatigues and vests (but conveniently never body cameras), and if you’re fortunate enough to be wealthy, make you spend $100k just to clear your name and get a letter of apology. 😂😂😂

I love our sheriffs and give them so much gratitude for their dedication to our city and all the sacrifices they make to keep us safe. I’ve had to make calls for suspicious people in my neighborhood or downtown and they’ve always been very responsive and took care of any problems in a thorough manner. Thank you!!

My husband was pulled over, but did not receive a ticket. He said the officer was friendly and got him out of there in a hurry, though the officer did not give him back his drivers license. I called the police department and the person I spoke with was very rude. Not very helpful at all. Long story short my husband in sitting at the DMV getting a new drivers license.
