I made arrangements to go to Silver Star Casino for my husbands birthday which was on a Monday. All he. wanted was to dress up and go to a good steak dinner at Phillip Ms. He wanted to experience his first room service on for his birthday. After calling room service the front desk stated there was no room service on Mon or Tue. Which we're the 2 days we we're staying at the Silver Star. When we we're checking in, no one made us aware that there we're limited services available including no valet or buffet. The pool was being refurbished on the Silver Star side so we had to go all the way to the Golden moon to swim and there we're alot of kids and they had no pool towels available Its not a short walk. There we're no bars opened except the Whiskey Bean. I was just glad they had the drink runners on the floor while gambling. Our room did not have an exhaust fan in rest room. Couldnt even crack a window to let in air. Even Bingo only runs Thursday thru Sunday. Not exactly our idea of a resort. The shining star was Bistro 24 and its crew. Especially Nicolette who was totally awesome and on the ball, she was so nice and friendly. We finally got our steak dinner there and it was delicious.

While in MS recently, my wife, 2 more family members, and myself went to the casino at Silver Star. As far as the casino gambling aspect goes, every was extremely good. Overall, the facility was clean, and employees were helpful and courteous. We went there 3 days, within a week. We didn't stay at the hotel, but at the home of family we were visiting. We'll go back, next time we're in the area.

This casino is successful because it seems all casinos are successful. The smell when you walk in hits you like a cigarette punch to the face. If you plan on staying, make sure you have plenty of changes of clothes that you do not take into the main part of the casino. They will stink to high heavens and you will breathe it for the whole time until you change your clothes.

We stopped by here before heading over to the Golden moon with $200. Our goto was the playboy machines betting max. Sadly I think we should of let the truck stay on, the $200 went quick, the bonus rounds do not pay much I think we where winning more from just spinning outside the bonus rounds. Just walking around you don't see too many people winning over $100 regardless of what they are betting so that prompt us to try the golden moon out. Decent service on the drinks outside of that I wouldn't expect your money to last long here.
