The winery and vineyard were wonderful. Tasted 4 wines and bought one to take back to the Air B&B. It paired well with fresh apple and charcuterie board. When we were there they had a a singer at the outside covered patio. It's a beautiful fun place.

I’ve been to 12 spies a few times and really enjoyed each experience. A few weeks ago while on vacation in Highlands NC we decided again to visit with our two young children who have been there before. Apparently they have decided to not allow people under the age of 21 on premises anymore. This was very very disappointing and shocking since we’ve been twice with kids before. We traveled over an hour to get there and when we arrived there was 5 people (Wednesday) in a space that could probably hold 100. I could understand not allowing kids in the tasting room but this is a very open space. With plenty of room for old people to drink their wine in peace. I can’t even think of places that don’t allow kids; strip clubs? Casino floor? This is my first bad review and hopefully my last. I challenge the owners to look up the word Hospitality and really think about what it means. They could have easily made an exception and let us sit outside and enjoy our afternoon.

Wonderful place!! And the wine is so good(especially the Cab). Great live music in a beautiful setting. Do yourself a favor and visit!! We will be back.

We are dog friendly as long as they are other dog and people friendly. We do ask they be on a leash when on the veranda. However, on Friday Night Pizza, and Saturday music, we request they not be on the Veranda as it becomes crowded. Cheers

Peg, we offer 2 options. Choice of 6 for $10, or choice of 10 for $15. We currently have 14 wines on our tasting menu to choose from.
There are no chain hotels in the area. The Dillard House is located 2 miles from our front door. They offer accommodations, restaurant as well as guided horse back rides. There are also several great B&B's nearby. We have several listed on our website www.12spiesvineyards.com on the links page.
