After seeing a pain specialist for about 10 years, I am suddenly not approved, “due to medical necessity“. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a miracle, my condition has not changed or improved. I am 100% sure there’s a glitch in semantics or paperwork somewhere, yet my hands are tied, so tomorrow I will have to pay cash to see my pain specialist. Paying $150 out of pocket every month to see a pain specialist is not acceptable considering the fact that I have insurance. What if I didn’t have $150 to pay tomorrow… THIS IS PATIENT ABANDONMENT.

I'm 62 years old with leg pain due to varicose veins and was denied the injections to reduce my leg pain because they said I have to basically have a blood clot before it's considered a medical procedure Seriously pathetic.. what ever happened to their stance on prevention! I have been on hold.. dropped calls the right hand has no idea what the left is doing... I will be changing medical groups as soon as possible..This is after countless hours anxiety attacks crying and being told I was approved for the injections by two different nurses then denied two days prior to my procedure...oh yes and even at my age they consider it cosmetic.. hahaha yeah..

The absolute WORST! The only doctor I like is my podiatrist, he is absolutely amazing. I have had a referral for an allergist since April 17, 2018 and I cannot get an apt. The office says they do not have the referral. I have contacted United Health Care and Sharp Community Medical Group, neither of which have helped me. I literally now have a stack of referrals, but cannot make an apt. My primary care doctor is the reason my foot is so messed up and I have not forgiven her for that. I am DONE with sharp. I need to find a new medical group ASAP. I hate this one and would never, ever recommend them.
