Had an incredible dinner at Rumi's Kitchen tonight. Our server was Aeider, and he was fantastic-super helpful and attentive. The food is divine. I ordered the lamb kabob and the meat was so tender and juicy and so wonderfully spiced. The rice is also exceptional!

Honestly it hurts to write a bad review for this place, every inch of my heart wanted for this restaurant to be perfect but it wasn’t. I heard a lot of great things about Rumi’s kitchen and I was very hopeful. Unfortunately our waiter was so confused and unprofessional. I asked for ice almost 3 times. Our food came separately. The presentation was 10/10 but my rice was room temp cold. We asked for sumac and salt and received salt and pepper. Overall the meat, especially the chenjeh was awesome but our other orders, service and attitude were awful.

Amazing place to try Persian food and drink. Service is great. The shrimp is really jumbo one and the rice tastes so good.

I so love this place. I've not everything on the menu but from the meals I've had so far this place is the bomb for Mediterranean food. I always get the Labne app= strained yogurt w/ az'atar and olive. It comes with homemade fresh pita bread, the best I've ever had outside of the Mediterranean area. Also had the smoked eggplant...amazing! The lamb Kabob was out of this world full of great herb flavors and cooked to complete perfection. The quality of the lamb meat was 1000% game on. And there is so much portion you can't eat it all so share or take home. I always sit at the bar so I can't speak to the table service but the bar tender is amazing, friendly helpful with the menu and is 100% on top of things. Atmosphere is really laid back, big open space with lots of seating but call ahead as this place is packed every time I come here for lunch. They have outside seating that is really nice as well, have heat lamps for cooler days. Parking is hard, it's the Avalon. Good luck with that piece but well worth it. Look for the Apple store and you'll find Rumi's across the street. Would I come here again? Already do and will continue too.

I haven't been there for lunch but my assumption would be size. Typically lunch portions are smaller than dinner portions. Always a great bet to ask the restaurant themselves. They're great with questions!
Since open table won't let a reservation on Thanksgiving day, they are either at capacity or closed.
They don't explicitly state that they have halal options which is actually surprising, given the wide array of halal markets in the area. My guess is that they probably have options for you if you call ahead. I hope they can accommodate you; their food is spectacular!
