Extremely large dog park with an expansive view of downtown SF. Wish there was a separate large / small dog playing areas.

Best park in the city!. Fenced but with a huge grassed area for dogs to run around. Hike around the sides and play fetch!. Water fountain for the furry friends and benches. Closed during winter. Can be foggy since it is on top of the mountain.

Arguably the best dog park in The City. It’s past life was a baseball field so it’s huge, and completely fenced in! If you’re daring, follow the trail to the left, up into the hill behind home plate for a bird’s eye views of the park and downtown. This trail isn’t for everyone. It’s steep and getting down on the right side requires some “rock hopping.” (You can obviously turn around and go back down the way you came up. One caveat, the park closes down for the winter to give the grass a chance to grow back.

This is an amazing dog park! It's the biggest fenced in dog park that I've been to in San Francisco, it's primarily grass but has some chip and some dusty rock area out the back that you can claim up and around with your pup if you want. This is an off leash dog park so as always you must keep an eye on your dog, clean up after it and if you have an aggressive dog, this probably isn't the park for you. There is a water fountain on the far side with a bowl for the dogs, I wouldn't recommend drinking from it your was it seems pretty dusty. My only caution is that since it is such a large dog park there can be quite a large number of dogs present off leash at once. Also since it is a grassy area with some hills there is some areas with foxtails that you'll want to steer clear of. I know some people have been removing them when they go but you know weeds will be weeds. The view is also amazing from this park!

Website says March 3rd...cant be soon enough!
Volunteers have also weeded a lot of the fox tails in the park this year
No, only a single gate around the entire park. There's lots of room - you can go into a corner and have it almost to yourself. Plently of small and big dogs roaming around.
The neighbors keep complaining about the noise.
