Found a baby mud sparrow and they were able to take him in, and care for him. Thankful for places like this .

Couldn't find anyone willing to help with an injured pigeon found at my job. Called these wonderful people and they didn't miss a beat. Took him over and they took care of it. Great place.

This was not the first time I had an unwell bird brought to this organization but it was the first time I brought one in myself. Staff has always been professional and friendly on the phone. Nice facility—I was only able to view the outside courtyard area because of the pandemic. Easy street parking. I called ahead and brought in an emaciated, female Bufflehead who couldn’t fly. After filling out a form at the entrance, I pushed the Ring button and someone came out right away to take in the poor bird. I received an ID number for the bird to check in on her status later. It was nice to visit with all the birds housed in the outside courtyard area. They are all beautiful. I was lucky enough to see a female Spotted Owl sleepily resting on a branch. Usually they are hiding during the day (I was told). Overall great experience and very glad this organization exists to help injured or sick wildlife.

These knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate staff are doing incredibly valuable work. Bring your kids to see animals you would otherwise not be able to get so close to, learn a lot, and expose them to people working hard to help other creatures. Try to be there during the pelican feeding time. It's pretty cool.

Years ago the full name was WildCare Terwilliger Nature Education and Wildlife Rehabilitation. Prior to that they were two separate organizations: California Center for Wildlife and Terwilliger Nature Education. This is the wildlife rehabilitation center next to Albert Park in San Rafael CA. That's so great you've remembered a wildlife organization in your estate planning. WildCare isn't funded by any government agency so they rely on donations from great people like you.
Go to: https://www.discoverwildcare.org/about-us/financials/ To see a complete breakdown of how your donation dollars are spent.
Visiting is free, and donations always welcome, to go towards the running of such an amazing organization!
Keep it in a covered box, allow for some air, and keep in a quiet, dark place until you can deliver to WildCare. Nature thanks you!
Go to : https://www.discoverwildcare.org/wildlife-resources/wildcare-solutions/ They are a great, humane service that can help you live well with wildlife.
I believe that the SPCA is best .
WildCare does not take marine mammals, they are taken to the Marine Mammal Center. WildCare specializes in the rehabilitation of land mammals, birds, and reptiles.
Well, if you have a pet and you leave their food outside, then I rrecommend for you to only put a little bit food. If you feed them, then stop. If they are just coming, try to scare them away but not violently. Welcome! :3
