Great place with good tour guides and some of the oldest stuff around... Pre-1800s stuff is so rare!

A very nicely restored Antebellum plantation house in South Carolina is well worth the visit. I had an opportunity to visit the house when it was closed to the public and photograph it. I was in photo Nirvana. I am not certain of the photo policy; I am thinking it is not allowed.

Authentic 1820 home in good repair. Visit on mild day, upstairs can be hot.

Questions & Answers

Is the house haunted?

BattlestarSC2 | Jun 26, 2019

The house isn't really a "haunted house" sort of attraction. It's more like a tour of an older style house and a glimpse into the daily life of plantation owners from before the Civil War.

The farm was nearly 1000 acres. We have an old regional map on site and have drafted a map of what the grounds looked like during the late 1800s. - Pendleton Historic Foundation

Is it decorated for Christmas and open to the public?

It is but we are only open for private tours during the colder months. Private tours require at least 6 people and one week's notice so we can find you a tour guide. Please call (864) 646-7249 if you'd like to join us!
