This is a beautiful area to hike and explore. It probably has alot of hunting opportunities during the proper seasons. There are primitive camping spots available, but no water or bathrooms.

This is an awesome WMA. Rope Climbing, bouldering, trails, caves, campsites. It’s such a beautiful spot. Less than two hours from Atlanta!

Great place for climbing. Easy access. Nice trails. Unfortunately now you have to have a hunting and fishing license to climb here. Which means you have to put your Social Security number and Driver's license number. Which seems completely silly for climbing rocks.

Had a great time with the family here @ Crockford-Pigeon . Campsites , trails , rock climbing, fishing , hunting .

The Crockford part comes from Jack Crockford a wildlife biologist the WMA was named after. All i can find on the pigeon part is from wiki so take it for what it is. Wiki says that one of the mountain peaks looks like a pigeon or possibly natives saw a flock of pigeons there.
I'm not a 100 percent sure. But I don't think so.
The WMA areas only close during the rifle days. Nov 11-14 and dec 9-12 are the last rifle days.
I don't think you do just to drive through.
