Cloudmont Ski & Golf Resort

Well, I found out from a lady at the Riverview camp for girls that the area is Private property. Strange...I did not see any signs that says that. I went in the property to go to the Cloudmomt ski resort because I was curios and because I want to travel and post pictures on Google. She asked me questions like "where are you from and why are you here"...all the places I've been, those questions were never asked but I answered since she wants to know and I made a mistake going there. She allowed me to check out the ski resort while she blocked the gate with her SUV maybe to make sure I didn't go anywhere else. I checked out the place turned around and she's still blocking to way out. I didn't get out of my jeep and she moved, said my goodbyes and she said "come back and see us"....ah nope! If anybody wants to check it out one day, make sure you ain't brown or black coz you'll be asked a bunch of questions...and it's private property !

We live about 28 miles away and went with our daughter, her husband and the grands. We didn't ski, but the kids and their dad went night skiing and loved it. It was 26° out. My only suggestion would be have better sings and directions. GPS doesn't work well on the mountain.

This place is just awesome. Me and my girlfriend thought we would save money this year and come to Cloudmont instead of NC or West Virginia. We went on a Saturday on got there early. We were one of the first so we got our gear and tickets fast.. all the staff is so nice and very friendly. The ski instructor was a great guy and he taught my girlfriend to ski in 10 minutes top. There’s is a lot of heritage with this place and the family love it. Very cool they open there place for the public to enjoy. Watch there documentary about the place too. Will be back soon!!

We have been here to ski and to hike. We enjoyed both and plan to go back as soon as possible. The staff is very accommodating and the rooms are very clean.
