Would like to have seen more, but that is not a complaint. Very unique experience, not so similar to a Renaissance fair. Definitely recommend experiencing it simply for its diversity of culture that the festival brings.

This is a classic small town fair. Mist of the booths feature handmade Nordic items or food. It’s just the right size for a three hour visit. Free entry and fair food pricing. Also, a beer garden and a wine/beer garden under the water tower. Free entertainment on two stages, art show, Scandinavian crafts. Lots of people in costumes. I used to go as a kid and hadn’t been in 30 years. Still local and charming.

I have been going to the great Scandinavian Festival in Junction City, since I was a child. I love the food, the folks, the atmosphere, the sights, the sounds, the crafts, the costumes & the dancers! I am going to love it until I am 100, I swear! So much history & heritage is being shared during the Festival. If you've never been, you should go, talk to the older folks especially, because they have the most wonderful stories! I have been to Festivals all across the USA & this Festival is still one of my most favorite to attend. Frikadeller on Flatbread with slaw, Ableskivers, Lefse & Swedish Crepes are my top favorites, but many other things there are very popular too, so be sure & bring your appetite!

The Scandinavian Festival was awesome! What a blessing for this community and all of JC's sons & daughters that come back to visit during this special time.

The festival closed at 6pm
We brought ours. But frankly the cement was to hot and there is not a lot of grass because the booths line the street.
You can find some information on our wiki page about it and soon on our website. Dr. Gale Fletchall was the one to come up with the idea.
LTD only far as I know
Go to the windmill and take a left. It's all the way down by the dancers!!
Aug 12-15
The line was huge at 3pm. I'm being they sold out.

A festival that celebrates the four Scandinavian cultures that planted their roots when they originally immigrated.
