Long day; far too tired to make dinner so I found this gem on Open Table. I cannot believe I just tried this restaurant tonight. Sat at the bar and ordered Crab Dip, Hot Wings, Guinness and a Screwdriver ;). The meal was absolutely delicious. The wings were cooked to perfection; the crab dip was hot, creamy, and FULL of crabmeat. To add more; the bartender presented superb customer service. She (forgot to write down her name) immediately introduced herself as I approached the bar. As I began to sit she carefully placed a dark cloth on the counter in front of me in preparation for my meal then calmly and quietly asked me if she could assist me with a beverage of my choice. I then knew I was in the presence of a proud professional. As I placed my request I noticed how uninterrupted she was as she maintained her focus on my every word. Her customer service is more than outstanding. Forward, the atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming with quiet conversations about but not so whereas it interferes with others. The ease of parking is one to remember as the restaurant rests on a shared parking lot of a shopping center. Tonight was my first visit and I am sure to return.

We ordered 2 French dip sandwiches, that were Prime Rib sliced thin into sandwich’s, it came with French fries au jus. The taste was out of this world, portions were filling, atmosphere was very pleasant, staff came to our needs as we needed them, and the cost was more then reasonable. This was my 1st time here but we’ll be back. If your around this place stop in it’s well worth it

I enjoyed celebrating father's day at the restaurant. Service was very attentive despite the large number of guests. It was my first time there and I liked the cost atmosphere. Guests were seated far apart enough that it was relatively quiet. I had the recommended drunken ribeye. It was very flavorful.

I continue to be surprised by how many great restaurant choices there are in and around Frederick. We went here on a Sunday afternoon, expect a wait time of an hour or longer. Luckily we had reservations, but still had to wait 30 minutes to be sat. Just goes to show how popular this place is. They have a brunch menu on Sunday's, I think it's available till 2pm. The food was excellent, and the service was great. It's a bit pricey for Frederick, but the portion sized are nice.

Hello, we have special gluten free rolls for hamburgers and other sandwiches. We also have gluten free crackers for crab, spinach and goat cheese dips. Yum!
You can ask for kid size portions. They might also have specific kid items on the menu.

Take Dave Carpenters answer as correct. However with a caveat. If you are making a call ahead for a largeish group 5-20 people. Make sure you impress upon the group to honor the time you called in. One of the major things I love about Madrones is that they are not a chain and have to cowtow to a corporate office. So they expect people to honor what they say. They will happily do the call ahead but dont call 3 times and change the time. Or expect them to hold to their end if you all arent there for any length of time. Their food is outstanding and they never have a problem filling the restaurant. So make sure you are all positive about when your meeting, if your not ready they have no issue with giving the table or tables to the patient customers that are actually there and waiting. And that is a big positive in my book. Enjoy
