What can I say about such a wonderful place and caring people, its simply the best !
lorna jackson
I just called here and i could not get any help. They said that they ha e a waiting list for families to stay here. I have a family that needs refuge. Has nowhere to go every resource has given them the run around. Ho.estead is supposed to be helping families and she had no information to help me keep this family off the streets tonight. Jas said has America gotten. We have forgotten about our own and take care of families that are non American. This is not the "LAND OF THE FREE." America is not America anymore. Are people are starving and have nowhere to have a safe haven for their children. Hillcrest ministries. You have no respect for your own. I do t even no how some of these people sleep and night or even look at their child safe and warm. And NEVER have a thought about someone's child on the streets. I'm very ashamed of ALL these organizations that say that they will help struggling families. It just looks good on paper and online. Just be honest and say you dont help. Cause when someone calls you don't give any information and especially no help. God sees you and he also k ows your heart.

They provide an incredible service to struggling families in the community.

The usual wait is said to differ based on eligibility criteria. Main thing is you call and check in every day and maintain employment.
Have her apply online for Hillcrest first then call (816) 461-0468 immediately after applying. Make sure she calls every single day so she can get in faster. We have 2 spots open I believe. But I can't stress how important it is for her to call daily. If she needs somewhere now, she can go to salvation army or city union mission. Wish the best of luck!
Hillcrest is not an emergency shelter, and the 90-day program has a waiting list (usually 2-8 weeks). The first step is filling out an application on the website, http://hillcrestkc.org. Then, call the housing site(s) every weekday to check-in, which shows motivation to participate in the program. The program is work-based (all needs, no wants, budgeting), so you'll need to be working full time before starting the program.
Individuals are welcome to apply.
Call and inquire there is a direct number on the website
Hillcrest is transitional not recovery you might want to look into healing house , princess house, shefield place or maybe even journey to new life!!
Fill out the application online. Then call to check in Mon-Fri.
Cant be on drugs...must he homeless and have a job
Yes.
Yes they do. You are scheduled one day a week to use two sets of washer and dryers and there is an emergency set you can asked to use if you need to do a load on your off day
