I wanted to get some privacy hedges. I ended up going to Moon Valley Nurseries. Kraig at the Escondido location helped me pick out the type of hedge to put on my property and calculate how many I needed. Despite some rain fall, Chris and his team put in all of the 35 trees in 2 days! They were all friendly and answered the questions I had. Time was taken to make sure every tree was measured to the spacing I specified. It all looks great and I couldn’t be happier. They’ll get my repeat business! Special thanks to Sean Mckinney, Michael Towne, Jorge Ollua, Louis Cruze, and “Nacho” for all your hard work to get these trees in and watered so fast! It would have taken me forever just to dig the holes. Updated 3/27: Bought more trees! These guys have awesome service! Chris came out and helped me decide what to plant and where. All trees were planted in one day and the next day they came out to finish putting mulch around all the trees. I got a few palms and fruitless olive trees. As usual, great service from Moon Valley. Looks like they let Chris go. Hire him back! Was scheduled for a morning appointment they came in the afternoon. They usually put a nice well around the trees. Half of them busted open on first watering this time. Not sure i'll come back for my next order. Just average now! Updated 6-22 Had a warranty replacement. Service and quality keeps going down over the last few years I don't see a reason to go back here anymore. Update: Service just keeps going down hill... Not sure why i don't learn my lesson and keep going here ... Took a month to get a delivery scheduled. After having to drive in to speak with someone, delivery was scheduled 2 days later. Didn't get a call the day before as they usually do. Called the office and said to deliver on the right side of the house. Driver called me 30 minutes before he was coming and I said delivery to the right side of the house. What happens, it's on the left side of the yard! !!??!! These are big trees too, can't just pick the up and walk them over.

This place has all kinds of fruit trees, other trees, olive trees, shrubbery, cactus 🌵, succulents, roses, and Dinosaur metal sculptures. Their staff is friendly, very knowledgeable about all their trees and other plants. They worked closely with us to determine whether they would have a problem delivering and planting our trees. They used satellite views to determine that and let us know if our planting areas were reasonable. They also ordered one of the fruit trees we wanted from their Murrieta Grove because they didn't have any. We bought 7 trees total and they were so good and gave us a volume discount. They also guarantee the plants for three months. I recommend this nursery whole heartedly!

Very impressed with the professional service from Moon Valley Escondido West. From the moment I started working with landscape designer Dan Eger, to the workers planting the trees, this is a group that stays on top of budgets and schedules. They installed a huge Jacaranda with ease; a long hedge of Ficus trees; Bay Laurel; Photinia; lemons; limes and much more. Highly recommend. So frustrated with Moon Valley! Of course they have have a great sales cycle and get you to spend thousands of dollars with them all as an "investment" for you home. I purchased 4 Palo verde trees from them (not cheap at all) back in May. They took my money in May but did actually come install the trees until June. They planted all 4 trees, but 1 was not installed correctly and fell over. I have been asking since they installed in to come back out and fix the tree. They finally did, and this is what they did. So now I just have a leaning over tree with stakes. They keep saying they are going to fix it, but this has been going on for weeks. Don't waste your money and time!
