We can not recommend this place enough. The teachers and staff were amazing. We had such a fun time. When we come back to California we will be back.

Took my son and 3 of his friends surfing last Sunday. My sons friends never surfed before. Couple of them were very hesitant on going out for whatever reason. By the end of the surf session they were all catching waves on their own. They had a great time! Big mahalo to Mikey and Michael at M&M surf for the good times!

My Kids first surf camp and they loved it. Instructors learn everyone's names. Friendly service. They went above and beyond. I had learned to surf many years ago and thought I could go and practice on my own while the kids were in surf camp. The instructors noticed me struggling and let me borrow a better board to learn on and took the time to give me some lessons with the group even though I had not paid for lessons. Very satisfied with the experience. Will definitely go back next summer.

You can walk up. They are there at 8 every day. If you set something up in advance it can help with their planning, but it isn't necessary. They taught me to surf, as well as my daughter, my girlfriend, my girlfriend's 4 kids, and several friends of mine. I think they do a great job and are a lot of fun.
Yes, they will.
Yes, you should eat a light meal and drink water. Hydration is important. Example of a light meal is toast with fruit, or fruit with oatmeal, or a hard boiled egg with fruit. Eat one to two hours before class. If you get seasick a little ginger in your water or ginger ale before class will help.
Yes we are partnered with a professional sports photographer. Please let us know in advance so we can make sure he is available.
Yes, you can bring your own surfboard, however if you are new to surfing, it may be better to use one of our beginner boards and work your way up to using your own board.
Yes, we show up at the beach every day, except Christmas. Please come by and visit. We are usually there by 7:30am.
You can park at the beach parking lot located on the North side of the pier. The city charges for parking. You can either pay at the meter using cash or credit card or use the mobile parking app called PassportParking. The app allows you to pay for parking with your smartphone. Parking is $6.00+tax for 3 hours of parking. Rates subject to change at anytime. Do not back-in to parking spaces or they may ticket you. Handicap parking is available for free as long as you have a handicap placard. Please ask us if you need help.
We will provide a wetsuit and board. You can bring a beach towel, swimsuit, and waterproof sunscreen. Surfing is a workout so be sure to bring water to drink before and after your class.
We will provide a (loaner) wetsuit and board for your lesson. Feel free to bring your own wetsuit if you want to use your own.
Yes, the City of Seal Beach maintains bathrooms and and outdoor showers where you can rinse off after your surf lesson. This is tap water and you can't control the temperature of the shower, but it's still great to get the salt water off of you and rince your wetsuit.
Mother Nature dictates the best time to surf, which is typically early in the morning. We like to start between 8am and 8:30am before the crowds arrive and before the wind picks up. We are happy to start earlier or later for private lessons, but you will not regret getting up a little early to catch the best waves.
