Smaller than other AAA in larger cities but it makes up for it with great and friendly customer service. There is a nice merchandise area that usually has some discounts from previous seasonal items. Due to covid schedules, the office is closed unless you have an appointment in advanced.

I live in Yakima Washington. My experience was great. Fast, saved me money, and I will be changing my house insurance to them also. I hope that I never have a breakdown while traveling but I feel assured that should I it will not be as expensive for me as it would be if I was under my old coverage. Wendy and all the other staff gave me outstanding service !!!!! Dave Mataya

This is a tough place to review. On one hand, AAA has saved my bacon with towing/jumps on a couple of occasions - On the other, it's about $100/year - and I've paid more in annual dues over my membership lifetime than it would've cost to pay a towing company for the few services that I've used. If you travel a ton, it's a good nationwide network to have and they can help you out in a crunch! My experiences with customer service have always been good. You can also get AAA discounts at a lot of random places - It's always worthwhile to ask establishments if they have AAA discounts. I have been most successful at hotels and large restaurant chains, but I'm sure there are others as well! I came into the Yakima AAA store for some passport pictures. At one point in time they were free with membership, but they are currently $5/set. This is less than most other stores, besides Costco where these are the same price. I was able to get my photo taken and be out of the store in about 10 minutes, which was great. The gal helping me was very friendly. This portion of my trip gets 5 stars. The store also sells a lot of 'travel accessories', but prices aren't exactly rock bottom (I figured they would be cheaper due to membership costs). I don't think this will personally be my place to find travel accessories, but they did have a decent selection of certain items. AAA also provides booking services - but I can't figure out who still uses this service....probably not anyone reading this review! I'm sure there's a generation of folks who aren't savvy with booking online, but it's hard for me to consider tacking on $35+ onto my reservation costs to have someone else click the buttons instead of me. That being said - if you aren't savvy with booking site - but happen to stumble across this review - this may be a great option for you! AAA provides good service at a reasonable price. Good customer service is always a plus, but items at the store can get a tad pricey! If you're not a member and you drive a lot, AAA is a good option to consider. The days of travel agent style bookings are certainly on the decline.....but AAA still provides you that option if you are looking for it!

My Travel Agent, Pattie Rowland at Yakima AAA, simply ROCKS! I have been dealing with her for a number of years now and will continue to do so 'till death do us part! I was somewhat spoiled by having my daughter take care of my travel, when she had her own agency. Now, both the daughter and I have Pattie take care of our arrangements, and are very pleased. I should add that we are both tough graders on travel arrangements. Pattie always takes care of any problems in a professional and cheerful manner. That is not to say that problems never occur, the important thing is that Pattie gets them fixed, even when they are caused by a third party vendor. I couldn't be happier.
