Beautifully preserved home and well maintained establishment. The dome ceiling is beautiful when the sun shines through it. Love my school ❤ & special events hosted there created such fond memories.

Beautiful home/mansion. Interesting history told of the Doheny family and their "neighborhood" by the docents. It must be nice to be so rich, although much was given to charity, too. We had one guide for the grounds, then a different docent for inside the house (tour includes the first floor only). Ended in a room with a great glass roof (where musical events are held sometimes). Knowledgeable guides made for an interesting morning, while the fineness of the architecture and furnishings made the tour a treat for the eyes. Well worth the $15 per person fee, which goes for the upkeep of the home.

Very nice place to tour. Great history and the architecture of the mansion is beautiful. Truly a highlight of the tour. We have been to the Doheny Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills and it is just as interesting. Advance reservations and prepayment is required.

Was fortunate to see Quator Danel with the missus, excellent show! Beautiful paintings and ornamentation throughout the mansion. Reception after the concert was exquisite with hors d'oeuvres, wine and cake! Staff was very courteous.

It is not free. From what I understand when we went, it was only open a couple times a year, and at those times you can purchase tickets to enter. The tours are guided and run those days about 30 minutes apart or so. I don't recall the price but it was around $15-$20 I think.
$ 20, and it's only a few days a year that they do the tour. Its cool but you only get to see the first floor $ 20, and they only make a few days a year doing the tour. It's great, but you can only see the first floor
Someone put $ 20.00 and no more is access to the first floor. No more is open a few days of the year.
I suggest you call first.
No, you must have a tour group to enter.
Only from out side. If you want to go in you have to call the university directly.
