Nice little zoo. Biggest Animal was a camel. Lots of different moneys. Rain forest was very nice and I went when they had the butterfly exhibit which was absolutely wonder. If you have small children it's perfect for a visit.

Great price, very beautiful scenery and landscaping. Love the Amazonian Aviary, they have sprinklers running all the time so it feels like a real rain forest. Small zoo but very nice place for family and kids. Only one food vendor on site and a gift shop. Rides on-site for extra price are small train, ferris wheel and a carousel.

Lots and lots of Monkeys. Great for quick trip or date. Expect about 1-2 hours to explore everything. Lots of construction going on currently and not all exhibits open.

Took my grandson for his third birthday which is today. It was a very peaceful and very nice tranquil time there. Perfect for a 3-year-old to enjoy the zoo. Even with all the construction it was still a very good time. Definitely recommend it for anybody who wants to take their kids or just go there and just relax read a book it is perfect.
Hello! We do not have Ostrich at the Santa Ana Zoo. We do have Rhea! Many guests think they are the same, but Rheas are smaller and native to South America, where Ostrich are larger and native to Africa. We hope to see you at the zoo!
Hi Miguel, not yet. Per current CA COVID regulations, our rides and playground remain closed. Our exhibits are open except for our aviary due to high-touch surfaces at the entry and exit. Keep in mind, the best time to see all of our animals is in the morning and during mild weather and all of our animals have the choice to be on exhibit or inside.
Hi Claudio;
Yes! We reopened on September 09. At this time we are open Wednesday-Sunday from 10am-4pm. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for the most updated information regarding what attractions are open or closed. We look forward to seeing you at the zoo soon!
Adults are $12, children are $8, under 2 years old are free. Ferris wheel is free on Friday, otherwise expect to pay extra for all rides including the train
Only 12 dlls. But if you have the opportunity to go to another zoo like Los Angeles or San Diego, I would recommend that you go because this is very small and there is not much variety, it is my personal point of view but you decide
Yes they do, I believe its $100, You can do up to 2 adults and I believe 4 kids. It's also good for many other Zoo's such as the one inside Irvine Regional Park, Although Santa Ana Zoo parking is a little crazy.
Do the Zoo still have discount entry for Disabled Person(s)?

Hi Bob. We asked for aaa discount. No discount at main entrance. Maybe for disabled? It was a very muddy and bumpy dirt pathway following the rains. Still it was a good day. The Bald Eagle alone was worth it. Kori&Fred😀
Is there bike racks

i dont recall seeing any, definitely call them and ask
Watch the weather. Since we've had lots of rain, expect muddy puddles.
We still had fun after the rain stopped. The small restaurant has very healthy choices for the health conscious.
10$ for adults 7$ for seniors and 3-12 years of age. Children under 3 are free. If you have an LA zoo pass you can get discount. Also AAA might have discounts.
Would I be able to volunteer at the zoo if I'm 14 years old, so I can get volunteer hours for school?

They have opportunities for people that want to volunteer 16 and up. Although you might want to call them to confirm. The website has the info.

The admission is by 10$adult, 7$senior citizen, and children's tickets.7$ for kids 3 and up.weekends are 2$ extra. No special prices for the disabled but the exhibits are wheel chair accessible.
Yes there is a great little petting zoo with rare breed animals. They have goats and sheep that you can touch and feed (for a small fee), but only if they have an employee working that day to open the yard. Otherwise you can still walk around the petting zoo to look at the animals. It's the perfect area for small children.
Hello I was wondering if you guys take pictures in the entrance of the whole family? Or if you have photobooths inside?

Since it is so small i would recommend going during the week to avoid crowds. During the weekend i would try getting there early. I believe they open at 10am and close at 5pm
To able to pay for the food and vets for the animals, that the animal can get shots and get checks up and I'm a volunteer at the Santa Ana zoo, some of the goats and sheep's are seniors, one of the goats have joins problems and think of that, and in image how much they spent on vets and food for very animals nothing is cheap
