We will probably never go to another vet. Our pup Thor absolutely loves this place! They are always so happy to see him and always have the best service. Thor definitely knows when we are pulling up and gets super excited. He has been coming here since he was born so all he knows is this wonderful place. They are always informative and answer all my questions - even when I badger them on the phone and through email over every little thing. They always try to help us out financially and never recommend anything we don't need. I will always refer my paw-rent friends to them.

How do people make appointments here? I've beencalling for 3 days straight and I get put on hold for long times regardless what time of day I call. The reply they gave me on this is absolutely false. I called again today and like clock work wanted to put me on hold. I asked why and couldn't give me a reason. I have been on hold for up to 30 minutes again no matter what day or what time. I will never go here if you dont care.

This Veterinary Hospital does not put the care of the pet first and foremost. I had a very horrible situation happen where they botched up test results. I can understand mistakes happen, but they did not handle the situation by having a solution in mind. They are money hungry and don't care. I had to rate them with 1 star, but that's too much. I would rate them a ZERO. As past reviewers have mentioned, the office mgr, Allison is horrible. UPDATE: The Response I received from this awful Vet Hospital is deceiving and untrue. On my initial call to get my newly adopted female dog tested for Giardia, they agreed I could drop off a sample BEFORE her scheduled examination for the first time. El Cerrito went AGAINST any Veterinary Medical Board rule. Maybe I should report them to the Board? I received a call stating the lab results were negative before her appointment. However, a few days later, Allison the horrible office manager, called me to tell me they DID NOT test for Giardia. She was 'sorry' for the error. I asked if I could bring her at that time but they did not have the availability to take her in. This Giardia test could impact the health of my dog's puppies! I only cursed once which was warranted by Allison's "I don't care attitude" and if I yelled it was because no one offered me a reasonable solution. Go ahead and be proud of your team - but you do not offer a high quality of care. It's rotten. I belong to a FB community with over 6,000 members, owning a specific breed of dog. I have 3 of the same breed. I will be sure to tell this community to stay away from this hospital.

My 1st visit with my dog Melody and she was very comfortable with her visit with Dr. Tritt. My vet before sold the business and I wanted to find another vet closer to my house. This clinic was highly recommended by 2 friends of mine who had been taking their standard poodles there for years. I made the right choice bringing my dog here.

I think 50 ish for the exam then extra for any shots or medications.
They are the best
El Cerrito has always been among the most reasonable hospitals. I've been a customer for 20+ years. My annual visits for my cats used to be $57. I think they might have just gone up but still not higher than anyone else. The bigger point is Dr Massey and Dr Valerie are GOOD and honest, honest, honest. No gouging, no unnecessary charges.
