Update 4/9/22, the city repaved and restriped the lot, added more spaces in the process. The sites adjacent to the steps, and especially the ADA ramp to the beach get a lot of pedestrian, bike, skateboard, stroller traffic. You'll get less privacy, many pedestrians will walk thru your campsite and around your RV. The city/park representing was sympathetic and attempted to help me with that situation, but they wouldn't/couldn't move me to a different spot even though other spots were open. It's still a great place to stay, just consider the space you choose. Fortunately the reservation system allows you to pick your site. Original review: Even though it's just a parking lot with partial hookups it is in a super great location. Half the spots back up to the walk and beach. Lots of activity to see, all day long. Very short walk to the pier and Main Street. $65/night

We loved this location! Right on the beach and the sunsets were beautiful! The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is the lack of amenities. But, even so, the sItes were good size and…did I mention on the beach?!? Perfect location.

My familia and I had an awesome, nice and calming first time camping by the Beach. This place was very nice starting from the staff, absolutely helpful, the site itself was a very tight and secured one. The área is right in middle of stores, restaurantes, y mucho más.

We have been to this place several times, our recent visit was on 4th July Fireworks. Majority of the time place is crowded but pretty well managed. Parking sometime is hard to find on street so better use to beach parking facility which is lit bit expensive. If you are planing for 4th July Fireworks its going to be hard to find out parking anywhere, people will pack it since morning and you might not get parking in 2 miles radius so be prepared. Surrounding shopping area is also nice if you are planning for shopping...

Lots of dogs at the campground, I see owners walk dogs on the sand adjacent to the boardwalk below campground.
When you walk down the steps to the beach it smells like everyone lets their dogs pee on the steps.
