Ordered the pork and mushroom bao, and pickles among 3 people. Super tasty and highly recommend the mushroom. Was quite busy at 8pm but managed to get a table, they offer take out as well. Really good dipping sauces. Great service. A small tap list for beers. Really enjoyed the open kitchen and watching the chefs work!

On Tuesday evening 5/31, my partner and I visited XLB finally after almost a year curious to experience this restaurant. We live in the neighborhood. The restaurant is always crowded so we knew it must be amazing. Here is when things went down hill, we ordered the pork dumplings. Actually we made a double order because they must be phenomenal. The order arrived and the meat looked uncooked. We could barely eat it. I asked the waitress if that’s how it should look. She rudely said yes and quickly left. The correct action needed to either offer a refund or offer a different dish. Sadly we won’t return the dumplings were terrible and the bad customer service of the waitress sealed the deal. Very disappointed after being so excited to dine in this establishment.

Great place to try something other than those battered, deep fried and covered in different sauce Chinese foods. Restaurant is clean and have good atmosphere (outdoor seatings also available). Staffs are friendly and attentive. Foods are freshly prepared and are flavorful. Xiao Long Bao were great, got the "soup" inside and taste great even without the vinegar. We ordered our long bean non spicy so our children can have veggie dish. It was good but hopefully we can try again with all the spices. Ho Fun are great alternative when you want noodle with different taste and texture. Feel a bit on the $$ side but I think with everything going up in price this place definitely worth it. Approved by our children that mostly pick with Chinese-American dishes.

Wanted to love this place but I didn’t. It was super busy so it looked promising. Decor was cute too. Got some of the signature XLB but not only unauthentic, much too salty. The skins are too thick more like potstickers, the filling was similar to potstickers as well. The broth was entirely incorrect, more like off the shelf beef broth than the gelatinous soup used traditionally. The Ho Fun was simultaneously bland and too salty and the noodles were not cooked long enough as some were still cold and firm while the green onion was quite raw. It was unfortunate because the beef used in the ho fun was tender and delicious but again a bit too salty. My favourite part of the meal was the ginger lemonade which was pretty tasty.

yes! there are lots! our cold noodle salad with both chicken or tofu is totally GF! The Beef Ho Fun can be modified to GF by subbing tamari for soy sauce and swapping the beef for either chicken or shrimp. Chinese greens are GF (roasted chicken option is also!) with the Bok Choy, swap tamari for oyster sauce and you're GF friendly. Good luck!
