Told the attendant to fill with premium, 92 octane. After he removed the nozzle from the car, I checked to see how many gallons were added, and found he had filled with 87 octane. I'm not sure if he didn't care, or thought because the vehicle looks stock I was just an over-concerned driver who didn't know what I was talking about, but he was not busy as I was the only customer in the lot, and had seen him sitting, carrying on a conversation inside the building and I had made it clear I was seeking higher octane ratings. Being that there was nothing he could do after filling it, and he had my money, confronting him in person was not worth it so I am taking to this review. Despite the engine knock, I am at least able to reset the ECU's timing to stock and run it as is, but I did not pay to have to do this. I did not pay for 87 octane. I will not be returning to this station, unfortunately, as other staff members have been very friendly and courteous.
