Staying here was easily one of my worst experiences in a hotel, and as someone who is well traveled, that is saying a lot. They overbooked the hotel, so when we got there we had to wait while they figured out accommodations for my party of 5 adults and a baby. After FINALLY getting our two rooms figured out, we walked into our rooms which smelled musty and damp as soon as we entered them. The bedsheets were damp, the showers leaked to the floor in the bathroom, and it was an overall unpleasant experience. Blue Earth is a lovely town, but about the Americinn unless you can help it. After all, they may not even have your reservation.

Wolven Steel

Rooms where discusting, mold and grunge all over the bathroom. Room smelled like mildew. Rooms tv remote was dead. When we went to the desk to get new batteries nobody was there. Breakfast was awful, eggs where soaking in water, and sausages were cold. Room 112's ac didn't work. And the pool had many dead bugs and spiders in it. Do not recommend this hotel.

Eyes On

On the phone they were able to accommodate us with a 1st floor room, as a member of our party can't do stairs well and they have no elevator. However, the room smelled strongly of mildew. When I told the desk clerk she said sorry about that. You also had to ask at the desk for all of the hot food at the breakfast area. They were out of eggs, sausage, and waffle mix over the course of the hour that our party ate breakfast. I don't know how the pool is b/c it was late when we arrived.

My friend and I have stayed at Americana Inn, Blue Earth Minnesota numerous times over the past three or 4 years and we love it. The room was clean, we felt safe, and the breakfast was delightful! It was especially fabulous to have the whirlpool in the room. I recommend that to everyone!
