Excellent service by Tim, grandson of the owner. He is the sole technician working on everyone’s machines. Went in today, 9/16/21 because my Singer wasn’t working properly. Tim immediately fixed the problem. A part was broken and it wouldn’t thread properly. Not only that but I had the wrong bobbin. He sold me a new part, some new bobbins, showed me a couple tips and tricks and I’m a happy camper. Thank you Tim!

I really want to leave a good review, but I just can't. When Norm was able to run the business himself, this was a great place to go. But age and circumstances have changed. They had my machine for NINE MONTHS and did not get to it. They had a very flimsy excuse about not being able to get the part because of Covid, but they had the machine for 5 months before we went into lock-down. I know they're behind, as everyone of this nature is, but they need to put a stop to accepting new machines until they can catch up.

My sewing machine has been in this shop for 4 months. The owner has not returned any phone messages nor has he fixed my machine. The phone message states that he has been ill but does have business hours on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I've stopped in on those given hours to find the store closed. I have been in twice prior to the 'illness' and spoken directly to the owner who said he hasn't fixed it yet. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I'm concerned that I will never get my sewing machine back. I've called about 10 times and left messages and made about 5 stops to this shop.

I should have believed the other reviews, which were less than stellar, and somehow are magically no longer available to see. However, I had taken my machine to Norm years ago and was very happy with the service. This time, I was told two weeks, it took a month and a half. I had to call three times to get a call back for an update. I was quoted a price and confirmed that price when I was told they were waiting for parts. When I went to pick up my machine I was told the quote was only for labor and all of the parts were additional, even though the written quote indicated it was for replacing the part. When I questioned it, all I got was a blank stare. A few lessons in customer service would be advised. Norm built up a good business, his employees are tearing it down.

They do carry Riccar. Definitely not out of business.
