Just had my baby here recently, and I could not recommend this place enough! The whole team that worked with me was professional, compassionate, and so quick to meet any needs that I had. Thank you to Dr. Jones and the rest of the staff for the wonderful care at Newport Hospital.

I avoid going to Newport Health whenever possible. The staff are generally friendly, but unhelpful. $ > Care at this place.

This is the worst healthcare experience I've ever had, including when I lived in the poorest townships in South Africa! For the past year, call wait times are consistently 15 minutes or longer. Most recently, I had been waiting 10 minutes when I was automatically kicked over to a provider line. The provider must have thought I dialed her to skip the call center queue, and she was rude before dumping me back into the call center queue, where I had to start the wait time over. Also, you can't just make an appt. You have to request one, and then they ask your doctor if it's okay, and call you back at least a day later, usually when I can't answer the phone. Multiple days and at least 40 minutes of phone time to make one appointment. Whoever manages their policy and procedure should be fired. They are clearly chronically understaffed, do not think about client experience, and have no creative solutions. Their billing also doesn't always reflect payments you've made, so you have to call the hospital and specifically request an itemized statement. Our doctor, Lisa Matlich, was friendly but unhelpful. We had to fill out a lengthy intake questionnaire and were given unsolicited advice for each "wrong" answer. I had bloodwork done but never received the results. My son had a scalp issue but the doctor said to ignore it rather than refer us to a dermatologist. We later had to see a specialist because the scalp issue worsened. Overall, general practitioners don't seem very helpful nowadays, and the system certainly doesn't make you feel cared for, especially at Newport Health Center. I would recommend driving an hour rather than trying to get good care here.
