The train ran 90 min late at the station we boarded at. We had to disembark at Minot, ND and spent the next 9 hours waiting for a bus to shuttle passengers and luggage to Williston, ND to get back on a train. We were in the first bus but our luggage finally was delivered on the very last bus. Right now the train will be 10 hours late getting into Seattle. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the staff on board have been nice. Other than our return trip, I'll never ride Amtrak ever again!

3 hour delay, no updates, no reason, no communication, no warning, I missed my connection, created a huge hassle. The service is a hit or a miss, either super friendly or extremely rude employees. The train it's self is grimy but is a good price

SPK is decent enough, but I don’t recommend going alone. Have someone wait with you until your train comes. I haven’t had an issue with train delays from SPK to PDX. There are tweakers and weirdos all over, just like at PDX, the difference being that at SPK the tweakers are also inside the station whereas in Portland they’re mostly waiting outside. Always be aware of your surroundings and never let go of your bags or leave them unattended.

There is a rail stop in Wenatchee where passengers can step off the train and smoke up if they want to.

Yes. The building is 2 stories. Both floors have outlets. The upper floor is where seating area is located. There are NO outlets near where you sit, however.

They have an hour and a half rail stop at Spokane. Passengers can get off but must remain in the depot area.

The Empire Builder goes to Spokane from Portland and Seattle so you would have to catch the a train at one of those spots

It's a pretty big step to take unassisted, but yes, a conductor should be able to help you board the train and stash your walker in the luggage racks
There WAS an eastbound train, the empire builder. Suggest you check if the empire builder normally gets to your destination, but the empire builder is suspended right now because of the derailment
I myself try to be available to check in at least an hour to be on the safe side.
Assuming you are talking about Amtrak - No fee for two checked bags per person under 50 lbs each. And two carry on each. If checked bags must be to a staffed destination. Hope this helps.
hmm..overnight parking vs weekly parking are two different things conceptually when talking about security of your vehicle. There is secure parking at the airport which would necessitate a taxi/uber to and fro OR a secure garage the Davenport at Post and 1st street which is about 4 blocks away which I've heard isn't cheap. I'm also a member of tripadvisor which is a good resource for finding travel related Q&A... .

Amtrak train office at the station is open from 2am to 6am in Spokane.
I ride regularly. It sort of depends on what you want to eat. Lounge car has snacks and smaller items. Snacks were like the $3-5 range. Foodstuffs like hotdog/pizza/cheeseburger etc were like $6-8. Dining car food was more because you can only get full meals. Kids meals mostly about $8, adult meals depended on meal period. Breakfast $9-14, lunch $13-16, and dinner $17-30. That's all just rough ranges. I couldn't find current menu pictures either.
Depends on how your traveling. Greyhound is open from 5AM to 6PM-ish. Amtrak is open from 10PM to 6AM-ish.
Ok, I wasn't there last night (this morning), but..... The crew is required to thing the bell anytime moving alongside the platform. They don't normally sound horn. If someone was on or near tracks they would sound horn. Or conducting a test/inspection.

You will have to contact your hotel, if it has an airport shuttle they'll probably swing over and pick you up. I've never seen a scheduled, dedicated shuttle service
