Terrible experience. Do not use Rymes. Techs either don't know what they are doing or will hold your heat and hot water hostage to try and get more money out of you. Techs scared my new tenants into thinking my home was unsafe and not up to code. After replacing a water heater which the plumbers verified was up to code energy was still withheld. The home passed inspection and was up to code and the new propane company also verified it was up to code and safe when they installed new service tanks. 3 professionals verified it was up to code. Why would Rymes not turn on the heat and hot water? We may never know but do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else.

I have been working with Rymes since August of 2015 when I became the Owner-Innkeeper here in Ogunquit. Steve has been the Serviceman for the majority of my calls and has been nothing less than great to deal with. Because of issues with our gas stoves I've had to call Rymes on several occasions. Steve is extremely friendly, professional, experienced, and explains everything in language that I can understand. He's here when I expect him and goes right to work. Customer service with Rymes is excellent.

My electric oven finally broke down. I replaced it with a dual fuel range. It took 3 weeks to get an install appointment which was pretty frustrating considering in September Rymes was out doing other work and at that point they prepped for a new gas stove. (I knew then I would be getting a new stove soon.) However, the staff was very friendly. Steve McDonald was great. After getting the stove installed, he took the time to "tune" the burners and explain the benefit. If it was not for the fact it took so long to get the appointment, this rating would have been a 5.

We generally waive a tank rental fee if you use at least one tank of propane per year.

Unfortunately, Monitor heaters are no longer available. We also recommend gas room heaters over kerosene - give us a call and we'll be happy to provide a quote.
